Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Project Management Senior to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). This role leads large government projects, defining scope, schedules, budgets, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.

You will mentor other project managers, review proposals, manage risks and change orders, and report progress against budgets and performance goals. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 8+ years of experience in project management; engineering project management preferred.
• Experience with Catalyst including budget development, scheduling, control and assurance.
• Experience with client vision, business objectives and critical success factors.
• Experience with delivery assurance principles and procedures.
• Experience with architecture, development, integration and deployment of project phases.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage large government projects defining scope, schedules, budgets, objectives and deliverables.
• Document the baseline for engineering projects and decompose work into components.
• Identify resources and coordinate with staff to ensure completion; organize teams for communication.
• Review project status and escalate issues; notify management of risks, delays, or budget overruns.
• Identify risks and opportunities; implement approved risk mitigation solutions.
• Interface with stakeholders to manage change orders affecting scope, cost, and schedule.
• Assist/lead detailed reviews of RFPs and develop technical elements, schedules and estimates.
• Oversee status reporting and present inputs to technical reviews and customer presentations.
• Mentor other PMs and lead Community of Practice; drive process improvements.
