Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) onsite at Vandenberg SFB. You will manage large government projects, define scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables with stakeholders, and ensure technical feasibility.

The role requires a STEM degree, 5+ years in project management, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. You will mentor peers, oversee proposals, and help advance POG processes within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 5+ years of experience in project management; engineering project management preferred.
• Experience with Catalyst project management methodology including budgeting, planning, control and assurance.
• Experience aligning with client vision, business objectives and critical success factors.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, schedules, budgets, objectives and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Document baseline and decompose work into manageable components.
• Coordinate with project staff to ensure communication of scope, timelines, assignments, and objectives.
• Monitor project status and escalate risks, delays, or budget issues.
• Identify risks and opportunities; implement mitigation solutions as approved.
• Manage change orders involving scope, cost, and schedule.
• Assist/lead RFP reviews and develop technical elements, schedule, and price estimates.
• Oversee status reporting and provide inputs to technical presentations for reviews.
• Mentor other project managers and lead Community of Practice within POG.
• Develop and improve POG processes, tools, and best practices.
