Job summary

RGP is seeking an Operational Accountant to support key accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and strong internal controls. The role bridges finance, operations and stakeholders while driving process improvements and efficiency.

The position involves month-end close, reconciliations, cash management, and collaboration across teams to strengthen controls and accuracy. Salary is paid as an hourly W2 rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate, public, or consulting settings.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and close activities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, MS Dynamics) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with timely reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity; investigate variances.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash management, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Assist cash flow reporting, forecasting, and treasury-related activities.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate accounting transactions.
