Job summary

RGP in the United States seeks an Operational Accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, cash management, and internal controls. You will bridge finance, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and efficient processes.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of accounting experience, proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, Dynamics), and advanced Excel. CPA-track is a plus. W2 hourly rate $50-70/hour DOE.

Qualifications

• 3+ years progressive accounting experience in corporate, public, or consulting roles.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Experience supporting general ledger, reconciliations, and close activities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Workday/Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel skills and analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with accurate reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statements, identify variances.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash management, fixed assets, accruals.
• Assist with cash flow, forecasting, and treasury activities.
• Partner with operations to ensure accurate transaction recording.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Improve processes, workflows, and internal controls for efficiency.
• Participate in system implementations and automation initiatives.
• Develop financial and operational reports for leadership.
