Resources Global Professionals (RGP) in Cleveland, OH seeks a detail-oriented Operational Accountant to support key accounting and financial operations. The role links finance with operations, ensuring accurate reporting, controls, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, cash management, and implementing efficiency initiatives. W2 hourly rate ranges from $50 to $70 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or consulting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and close activities.
• ERP systems proficiency (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, MS Dynamics) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity for variances.
• Manage AP/AR, cash management, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Assist with cash flow reporting, forecasting, and treasury activities.
• Provide documentation for audits and participate in system implementations.
