Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an OR Technician CTOR in Newark to collaborate with the perioperative team in providing age-appropriate patient care within the operating room for a 37.5 hour work week, daytime shifts.

The Surgical Technologist must be certified, with BLS, and complete orientation and department programs. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and patient-centered perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association)
• Successful completion of Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patients‘ physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.
