Job summary

Northwell Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the intraoperative team. You will maintain sterile technique, prepare instruments, and assist the Circulating RN throughout cases.

Responsibilities include instrument selection, case cart readiness, counts, and ensuring aseptic conditions. Requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program and CST certification. Benefits are included with a fulltime role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Must be certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Zero to six months minimum experience noted in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile technique and practices aseptic procedures throughout surgery.
• Prepares the surgical room and instruments per physician's preference card.
• Performs surgical counts and communicates any discrepancies to the circulating RN.
• Assists with patient positioning and adherence to safety and body mechanics.
• Cleans, disinfects, and inventories instruments and trays between cases.
