Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum Experience: zero to six months.
• Must have and maintain Certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a sterile environment and practices aseptic technique.
• Prepares the surgical room and instruments and ensures sterility.
• Assists with instrument selection and case cart checks.
• Positions patient and maintains correct body alignment as scheduled.
• Performs surgical counts for sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Follows environmental care practices and hospital policies.
