Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group in Greensboro is seeking an Operative Clinical Technician to assist the nurse in the Operating Room for pediatric through geriatric patients, ensuring a sterile and safe environment. You will work under close supervision to support surgical procedures and maintain room readiness.

Responsibilities include room preparation, equipment relocation for sterile access, patient care under nurse supervision, and coordinating transport of specimens and labs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience required.
• BLS CPR (American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider) required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that the Operating Room is clean and safe in accordance with hospital and Infection Control guidelines to provide a sterile environment.
• Prepares rooms for new patients as directed by the nurse to provide sufficient room availability for upcoming surgeries.
• Relocates Operating Room equipment to various locations in the hospital so that nurses are provided with all necessary sterile equipment for surgery.
• Provides care for patients under the supervision of the nurse in order to organize patient care plans and treatments.
• Monitors supply levels of necessary items like linens to provide a comfortable environment for patients.
• Handles the responses to requests for the transportation of specimens, patients, and labs in order to connect the proper resources with patient needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
