Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. invites a qualified registered nurse to join the clinical team in a surgical and labor & delivery setting. You will coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team, communicate changes in patient status promptly, and ensure adherence to medication safety standards.

Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Requirements include a Connecticut RN license and CPR certification, with prior OR or obstetric experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current Connecticut RN license and CPR certification required.
• Experience in surgical or labor and delivery settings strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform population-specific assessments and re-assessments and plan care.
• Collaborate with surgical team to implement individualized care plans.
• Follow five medication rights and ensure safe medication administration.
• Document nursing process and patient responses in a timely manner.
• Communicate patient condition to the team and respond to changes.
