You will evaluate patients pre- and post-operatively, educate families, and assist with IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification. You will work with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality perioperative care.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to evidence-based practices, and ongoing workflow improvements within the operating room.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice nursing in the state.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Education: ADN, BSN, or diploma in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre- and post-operatively.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and perioperative care.
• Prepare patient with IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Assist with universal protocol and time-outs; ensure patient safety.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes during shift.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff.
