Job summary

HCA Florida Putnam Hospital in Palatka, FL seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN shifts. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, focusing on pre- and post-operative care and advocating for patients to ensure a superior experience.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, perioperative procedures, documentation, medication administration, and staying current with cardiac and medical-surgical care knowledge.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• 1 year RN experience in progressive care or similar setting.
• ACLS and BLS certifications within 30 days of start date.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Document care in the patient chart promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures and equipment for cardiac/medical-surgical patients.
