HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a PRN RN for preadmissions. You will evaluate patients before surgery and provide education to patients and families about the perioperative process.

You will prepare patients with IV therapy, preoperative medications, and site verification, and participate in surgical safety checks with an interdisciplinary team. Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Associates degree in nursing required.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide education to patients and families about perioperative care.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Assist with surgical site verification and safety checks.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care and participate in team patient care.
