Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for perioperative duties in a dynamic operating room. You will evaluate patients prior to surgery, educate families, and manage preoperative medications and site verification.

Qualifications

• RN license required with eligibility to practice in Texas.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within stated timelines.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based experience; ICU/ED preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about procedures and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients, including IV therapy, preoperative meds and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols per hospital policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, technologists and other team members.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor changes, and document care provided.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and follow-up.

Formation

RN – Registered Nurse License

Associate Degree

BSN Preferred

ACLS

BLS

PALS

2+ years hospital setting

ICU or ED experience preferred
