Job summary

Medical City Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Day Surgery unit. This full-time, day shift role includes on-call during select non-business hours and a focus on safe, patient-centered perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Texas RN license (or compact license) required.
• Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• 1 year experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients preoperatively and educate patients and families about procedures.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Assist in surgical site verification and adherence to universal protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, techs, and nursing staff to maintain patient safety and care quality.
