Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Iowa is seeking a Perioperative Nurse to provide intraoperative care in scrub and circulating roles for a diverse patient population. The role requires call, weekends, nights and Holidays as scheduled, with duties in a fast-paced operating room.

You will prepare for cases, maintain aseptic technique, document patient data, and communicate with the team and families. Iowa RN license, BLS and abuse training are required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license for Iowa
• BLS certification required within 6 weeks of hire
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire
• Ability to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases in intraoperative role
• Prepares for surgical cases and anticipates needs of OR team
• Maintains aseptic technique and safety standards in the OR
• Documents clinical data and specimens in surgical records
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and the care team
