Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Same Day Care. This full-time role is 32 hours per week with 10:00a-6:30p or 11:30a-8p shifts and a Friday work requirement.

You will evaluate patients pre- and post-operatively, educate families, manage IV therapy and medications, participate in surgical site verification, and collaborate with leaders to improve patient safety and workflow.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• A NH RN license is required.
• Associate Degree of Nursing required.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients pre- and post-operatively.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Manage intravenous therapy and preoperative medications; verify surgical site.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies; deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons, techs, and leaders.
• Apply nursing processes with critical thinking and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Monitor patient conditions and document changes and care provided thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
