Reston Hospital Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time role in the Reston, VA area. The position offers 36 hours per week with nine-hour shifts, a collaborative operating room team, and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualificações

• RN required and licensed to practice in the state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or completion within 30 days of hire
• Full-time position with 36 hours per week (9-hour shifts)

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education about procedures and perioperative process
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds
• Participate in surgical site verification, time-out, and debriefing
• Recognize and respond to emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with providers, surgeons, technologists and the care team
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking and leadership in daily care
• Document patient condition and care provided accurately
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up
