Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Same Day Care. The role offers Full Time hours (32 per week) with shift options from 10:00a-6:30p or 11:30a-8p and a Friday work requirement.

You will work within a collaborative surgical team to deliver high-quality peri-operative care. Responsibilities include evaluating patients pre-surgery, educating patients and families, preparing patients, and participating in safety protocols and site verification.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• A NH RN license is required.
• Associate Degree of Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
