Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Dover, NH, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Same Day Care. The role offers a full-time, 32-hour weekly schedule with day/evening shifts and a Friday requirement.

Responsibilities include preop nursing, patient/family education, site verification, and participation in universal protocols within a collaborative surgical team. Qualifications require NH RN license and an Associate Degree of Nursing, plus BLS; ACLS and PALS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days of start date.
• NH Registered Nurse license required.
• Associate Degree of Nursing required.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about procedures and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification following universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons and techs.
• Document patient condition and care accurately and communicate changes clearly.
