Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to join a dedicated team in Akron. You will scrub and circulate per service line, participate in a 6-month orientation, and may rotate to specialty call teams to gain proficiency.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and education for patients and families. Minimum qualifications include ADN or BSN, RN licensure, BLS, and annual clinical competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Successfully complete mandatory clinical competencies annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients.
• Complete ongoing assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update care goals with patients and families; coordinate interdisciplinary plan.
• Administer treatments and medications; document care.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of outcomes and quality improvement.
• Delegate tasks and pursue ongoing education and certifications.
• Prepare equipment and anticipate team needs; advocate for the patient.
