Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Operating Room team in Akron, OH. This full-time, day shift role provides direct patient care and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent surgical outcomes.

The RN will assess and plan care, document treatments, mentor staff, and participate in ongoing patient/family education and evaluation. BSN preferred; ADN/BSN required; BLS and active RN license required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) is required.
• BSN degree preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and adjust plans.
• Develop goals with patients and families.
• Administer treatments and medications and document accordingly.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of outcomes.
• Delegate tasks and mentor others.
• Prepare for patient care using patient information and preferences.
• Ensure proper handling of surgical specimens.
