Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, OH is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will scrub and circulate across service lines, with a 6-month orientation to gain proficiency and potential rotations on specialty call teams.

You will provide direct nursing care, assess and plan patient care, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, document treatments, and support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Mandatory clinical competencies completed annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Assessments: monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
• Plan: develop goals and coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Implementation: administer treatments and medications and document.
• Evaluation: participate in ongoing evaluation of outcomes and quality improvement.
• Leadership: mentor others and pursue ongoing education.
• Department duties: prepare equipment, ensure correct patient identification and manage on-call needs.
