Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to cover nights (6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.) with on-call requirements. The OR team provides patient-centered surgical care, with a 6-month orientation and opportunities to participate in specialty call teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Successfully complete mandatory clinical competencies annually
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Assessments: complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Planning: develop and update goals, involve patients and families in care plans, coordinate the interdisciplinary plan, act as patient advocate.
• Implementation: administer treatments and medications, document.
• Evaluation: participate in interdisciplinary evaluation and quality improvement.
