Job summary
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ seeks an experienced RN for the Operating Room. The role offers a day shift (7a–3p), 37.5 hours weekly, with two call shifts per week and periodic weekend calls. This is a full-time position with on-call responsibilities.
Qualified candidates hold an ASN or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred, and must have active NJ RN license or compact NJ endorsement with BLS. Proficiency in documentation and computer skills is required, with orientation completed
Qualifications
- ASN or Nursing Diploma is required
- BSN is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
- Active NJ RN license or compact RN with NJ endorsement; BLS from AHA
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act and establish priorities with measurable outcomes
- Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to team members and collaborate with care providers
- Maintain safety and apply evidence-based practice in daily nursing activities
- Document accurately and complete orientation and competency requirements
