Job summary

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role involves delivering direct patient care, coordinating with surgeons, and supporting perioperative teams in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires an active NJ RN license (or compact with NJ endorsement), ASN or Nursing Diploma, BLS, and at least 1 year of hospital experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs and competency with documentation required
• Preferred: BSN
• Minimum 1 year of hospital experience

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the operating room and perioperative settings.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and health care team to ensure patient safety.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff and monitor patient progress.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ANA code of ethics
