Job summary

The incumbent will support complex, high-acuity patients, adhere to perioperative standards, and participate in a fast-paced team setting while maintaining focus on optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with state licensure as RN.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification and CPR card valid through start date.
• 6 months of OR nursing experience or UCHealth Fellowship completion.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulating functions before surgery, preparing environment, orienting and reviewing medical records to ensure prerequisites are met.
• Performs circulating functions during surgery, monitors patient condition and sterile field, documents interventions.
• Performs scrub functions, prepares and handles instruments, counts surgical items with circulating nurse.
• Provide nursing care to a complex, high-acuity surgical patient population in a technically complex environment.
