Job summary

UCHealth Eastview Medical Center in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a surgical setting. The role requires OR experience or completion of UCHealth’s Fellowship program, an active Colorado RN license, and BLS.

The position is full-time and onsite with a 80-hour biweekly schedule on day shifts. The nurse will circulate and scrub, ensuring patient safety and efficient operative care while supporting a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in the state of Colorado.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of OR nursing experience or UCHealth Fellowship completion.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulating functions before surgery, preparing the operating environment and reviewing patient records to ensure prerequisites are met.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents interventions; controls room traffic and maintains safety checks.
• Performs scrub functions including instrument handling and counts with the circulating nurse.
• Provides nursing care to high-acuity surgical patients in a technically complex environment.
• Exhibits critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
