Job summary

UCHealth is seeking an experienced OR nurse at UCHealth Eastview Medical Center in Colorado Springs. This full-time, day-shift role involves direct patient care in a surgical setting, performing circulating and scrub functions, and ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes according to policies and standards.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited RN program, holds an RN license, and has BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• RN licensure in good standing.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required/ CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
• CNOR preferred.
• Minimum 6 months OR nursing experience or UCHealth Fellowship completion.

Responsibilities

• Circulating before surgery: prepare environment, review records, ensure prerequisites.
• Circulating during surgery: monitor patient, document interventions, control room traffic.
• Scrub functions: prepare and hand instruments, perform counts.
• Provide nursing care to high acuity surgical patients.
• Maintain safety and operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
