Job summary

Atrium Health in Concord, NC is seeking an experienced Nursing Manager to lead nursing practice, service administration, and care delivery within the department.

You will participate in interviews, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while promoting effective communication and collaboration with physicians and teammates. A BSN is required, with MSN preferred, and 2+ years in nursing leadership is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BSN required; RN candidates without BSN must enroll in BSN within 1 year and complete within 3 years of enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager using systematic approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department.
• Coordinatess communication at regular intervals through shifts via staff meetings/huddles to exchange information and promote dialogue.
• Collaborates with manager to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws and required regulations.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care and department operations.
• Delegates care elements to appropriate healthcare workers in line with policy parameters.
• Assists in identifying outcomes to direct continuity of care and department operations.
• Assists in evaluating progress toward goals and disseminates information to teammates.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications as necessary.
• Coordinates patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment of volume/acuity to ensure appropriate staffing resources.
