Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer date and complete within 3 years of enrollment.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire date.
• Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Communicates administrative problems and actions to the nurse leader and senior administrative leaders to assess patient care and satisfaction.
• Guides staff in understanding and compliance with state and federal laws and Nursing Practice Act requirements.
• Coordinates regular shift communications via huddles, rounds, or meetings to exchange information.
• Assists with appropriate utilization of resources to meet patient care needs.
• Supervises nursing personnel, identifies problems, initiates corrective action, and documents actions.
• Provides advice on medications and treatments and interprets policies for staff, patients, and families; responds to emergencies.
• Coordinates shift management of patient flow and admissions/transfers with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitors staffing levels and reallocates resources using Float Pool/PRN to maintain appropriate staffing.
