Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for the Operating Room in Concord, NC. The role supports the OR leadership team, coordinating nursing staff, schedules, and patient flow to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care across orthopedics, robotics, cardiovascular, pediatrics, neuro, spine, plastics, and general surgery.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, BSN, current RN license in the state, BLS certification, and has 2+ years nursing experience

Qualifications

• RN license in the appropriate state.
• BSN degree required.
• Minimum two years nursing experience; previous management experience preferred.
• BSN must be enrolled if not yet obtained within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and complete within 3 years.
• BLS certification required within policy guidelines.
• Professional certification (clinical or leadership) within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager with nursing practice quality and delivery of care in the department.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication through staff meetings/huddles to promote dialogue among teammates.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and healthcare regulations.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care quality and satisfaction.
• Delegates care tasks to appropriate healthcare workers within policy parameters.
• Assists in identifying outcomes to guide continuity of care and department operations.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and disseminates information to the care team.
