Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is seeking an Operating Room Associate Director to lead a dynamic surgical services team. You will drive safe, high‑quality patient care and partner with physicians and staff to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate has prior OR leadership, an RN license, and a BSN/MSN with a strong management background. This role typically follows Monday–Friday day shift expectations within a large, award‑winning hospital network.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for all new hires.
• Requires a current RN license in state of practice and BLS.
• Two years of clinical management experience in a related patient population.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for certain Banner Health settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides managerial and clinical support to patients and staff for high quality, safe care.
• Leads change by implementing quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Facilitates communication of system and department initiatives.
• Manages operating budgets and resource use.
• Develops staff leadership and supports career advancement.
• Oversees recruitment, orientation, onboarding, and retention.
