Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an Associate Director RN in the Operating Room at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ. This role provides managerial and clinical support, leading a large OR unit and driving quality and safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a BSN or MSN with two years of clinical management experience in the operating room, and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Monday–Friday day shift with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for all new hires.
• BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months of transfer/promotion.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and facilitates patient centered nursing care for designated patient populations and serves as real-time clinical expert.
• Leads change by developing, implementing and evaluating quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Facilitates communication of system, regional, facility and department initiatives.
• Manages and develops operational and capital budgets and use of resources.
• Develops staff leadership through shared leadership models and supports career advancement.
• Oversees selection, orientation, onboarding, retention, and performance evaluations.
