Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an OPERATING ROOM ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR to provide managerial and clinical support across designated areas. You will oversee clinical, financial, and personnel management, driving high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

The role emphasizes leadership, change management, and staff development within a Level I Trauma center environment at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Monday–Friday day shift, with focus on OR operations and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for all new hires; BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months of transfer/promotion.
• Requires current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Must have two years of clinical management experience relevant to patient population; strong leadership and change management skills.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (mandatory for certain Banner Health departments) and related compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial and clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
• Lead quality and process improvement initiatives within the department.
• Oversee budgeting and resource utilization for the unit; manage operational performance.
• Develop staff leadership and implement coaching, evaluations, and development opportunities.
• Guide internal and external stakeholders, including staff, physicians, and patients’ families, in care delivery.
