Qualifications

• BSN required or committed to obtain BSN within three years of starting.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan care for acutely ill patients using nursing process.
• Coordinate care, delegate tasks, and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and ancillary staff.
• Document plan of care and outcomes in health records.
• Participate in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions.
