HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Nurse Educator to enhance professional practice and the delivery of high-quality patient care through evidence-based educational programs for nursing and other clinical staff.

You will develop onboarding and orientation programs, collaborate with leadership to tailor education, promote staff retention, and advance competency with a focus on lifelong learning and evidence-based practice across the facility.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Active RN license in the state of practice or a valid compact license is required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification is required.
• 2+ years in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Participates in development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust the program based on evaluation results.
• Participates in development, coordination, and management of facilitating, conducting, and evaluating competency.
• Designs and identifies educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences, including licensed and non-licensed healthcare personnel.
• Develops activities to achieve outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skill and practice.
• Promotes and integrates EBP to improve practice; conducts, encourages, facilitates, and/or participates in research, EBP, and QI in patient care settings.
• Identifies and develops strategies to foster lifelong learning progress.
• Utilizes novice-to-expert continuum when developing staff and providing opportunities for mastery.
