Job summary

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking a Nurse Educator to advance professional practice and provide high‑quality patient care through evidence‑based education for nursing and clinical staff.

You will lead onboarding, orientation, and competency initiatives, collaborating with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to tailor programs based on evaluations, promote lifelong learning, and support practice improvement throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in acute care hospital preferred.
• RN license in state of practice or compact license required.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
• BLS required.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, manages onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare staff.
• Delivers orientation/onboarding programs to improve employee retention.
• Collaborates with Clinical Professional Development leadership to optimize programs based on evaluations.
• Develops and assesses competency for staff across licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Identifies educational activities to address practice gaps and aligns with education request processes.
• Plans content delivery to promote learner engagement and outcomes.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in QA, EBP, and research activities.
