Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Nurse Educator to enhance professional practice and provide evidence-based educational programs for nursing and clinical staff. The role emphasizes onboarding, competency development, and ongoing education to promote safe, high-quality patient care.

You will design activities, support onboarding, collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development, and foster lifelong learning with bedside staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• RN license in state of practice required.
• Nationally Recognized Specialty certification preferred.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Ability to Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Participates in onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust the program based on evaluation results.
• Participates in development, coordination, and management of competency.
• Designs educational activities addressing practice gaps for identified audiences.
• Plans educational content delivery to encourage learner engagement.
• Promotes evidence-based practice to improve patient care and supports research and quality improvement.
• Identifies strategies to foster lifelong learning and skill mastery.
