Job summary

Banner Health's University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an Equipment Technician for the Operating Room. You will support a 28-suite OR in a Level I trauma teaching hospital, ensuring equipment is ready, clean, and available for procedures while upholding infection control and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll troubleshoot and repair equipment, coordinate maintenance with vendors, and assist with room turnover.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of perioperative or procedural services experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs OR equipment or coordinates with vendors.
• Serves as first-line resource for equipment troubleshooting across OR specialties.
• Manages OR room turnover by anticipating equipment needs.
• Maintains documentation and equipment repair databases.
• Performs safety checks and ensures proper electrical load distribution.
• Oversees equipment care and security.
• Facilitates education on new equipment.
