UC Health’s UC Medical Center is seeking a full-time Operating Room Equipment Technician for the second shift. You will maintain, prepare, and troubleshoot OR equipment, ensuring readiness and safety for high-volume surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 3 years in hospital or surgical setting.
• Full-time position on second shift.
• Supports multiple ORs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre-operative setup by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and testing operating room equipment.
• Prepare trauma operating rooms with required equipment, instrument sets, and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to anticipate equipment and supply needs and respond to urgent intraoperative requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in real time to minimize delays and ensure patient safety.
• Ensure on-time starts for first cases by readying ORs for the next day’s elective schedule.
• Provide training to surgical staff on proper use and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Act as equipment and supply runner during procedures to support uninterrupted workflow.
• Assist in transporting and positioning equipment during patient moves to PACU or other units.
