Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect patient care by preparing for operative procedures, scrubbing in, and assisting surgeons with precision and efficiency. The role requires maintaining sterile technique, organizing instruments, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree or a Certificate in Surgical Technology and a BLS certification, with 1+ year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS within 3 months (AHA) required.
• Associate's degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub before induction.
• Run mayo setup and organize back table as needed.
• Anticipate case needs and adjust with surgeon.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the team.
