Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a program-focused professional to plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development programs for participants, aligning with YMCA goals. The role emphasizes enthusiastic leadership, documentation of attendance, equipment management, and a safe environment.

You will also communicate with families, promote other YMCA programs, and ensure policy compliance while maintaining organized records and equipment for ongoing activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with planning, organizing and delivering skill development programs.
• Ability to teach and motivate participants.
• Comfort with maintaining program records and using technology for program needs.
• Willingness to obtain certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and leads activities and games for participants.
• Keeps attendance rosters and program records up to date.
• Manages equipment and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Communicates effectively with participants and parents.
• Promotes other YMCA programs and refers questions to the appropriate person.

What You'll Do

• Plans, organizes and leads specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organizes and maintains program records including, but not limited to: attendance records, rosters, etc.
• Manages all equipment.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicates effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in specialized skill
• Minimum of 4 years teaching specialized skill.
• Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area
• Demonstrate advance knowledge of specialized skill
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
