Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Wind Technician for the Forward Wind Energy Center in Brownsville, WI. You will operate and maintain GE wind turbines, climbing towers and performing routine maintenance to ensure reliability of the facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of technical experience, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and the physical capability to climb and lift heavy components. A valid driver's license and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least one year of technical experience or related education.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds (45 kg).
• Valid driver's license and US work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, with safety gear, to inspect, maintain or repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; replace components as needed.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak periods.
