Job summary

Ledgent Technology in San Diego, CA seeks a hands-on engineering leader to direct the Clearing platform teams, including the Clearing API, back office, data, market risk and QA. You will lead roughly 49 people, including augmented staff, within Securities Technology and report to the SVP, Securities Application Development.

You will code when needed, drive AI‑driven development lifecycle adoption, review SQL, Java and Groovy, and set engineering standards while guiding a team toward a unified

Qualifications

• Hands-on senior engineering leadership experience in heavy software environments.
• Proficiency with SQL, Java and Groovy to unblock delivery and fix production issues.
• Experience guiding large multi-disciplinary teams in finance/markets technology.

Responsibilities

• Stay close to the code: write, debug and review SQL, Java and Groovy to unblock delivery.
• Set the engineering standard by example and step in on critical incidents and migrations.
• Lead the Clearing API, application development, back-office and data, market risk, and QA teams.
• Deliver the Clearing technology roadmap aligned to business convergence initiatives.
