Job summary

Clearscale is seeking a DevOps Team Lead for Managed Services to steer a pod of DevOps and security engineers across multiple long-term customers. You will transform ambiguous scopes into prioritized roadmaps, drive sprint planning, and own incident resolutions in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering with a focus on automation on AWS.
• 3-5 years in a team lead or technical leadership role within DevOps or managed services.
• Experience leading delivery for multiple concurrent customers or accounts.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Professional or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Anthropic Architect Associate certification within 90 days of start.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Extensive IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Strong containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).

Responsibilities

• Lead a pod of DevOps and security engineers delivering ongoing engineering across multiple long-term customers.
• Own scoping, roadmap development, and technical assessments for customers, converting engagements into a backlog.
• Oversee delivery of initiatives and propose improvements beyond requested scope.
• Facilitate weekly sprint planning and prioritize work across accounts.
• Own customer incident escalations and coordinate rapid engineering response with 24x7 Operations.
• Partner with Service Delivery to ensure alignment, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Build and use AI tooling to accelerate planning, delivery, and management tasks.
• Establish best practices for IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and cloud security.
• Design and manage scalable, secure AWS infrastructure across accounts.
• Mentor DevOps and security engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve reliability and velocity.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and procedures.
