Job summary

BNY in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Vice President, Full Stack Engineer to lead development on the Global Clearance team. You will design and deliver scalable client‑ and server‑side solutions, leveraging AI tools to accelerate coding and quality, while collaborating with product and UX on the roadmap.

The role demands 5+ years in full‑stack and strong Java/Spring Boot experience, plus hands‑on expertise in modern front‑end tech and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of full‑stack experience with modern frameworks.
• 5+ years of Java/Spring Boot/REST development, including microservices.

Responsibilities

• Program well‑designed, testable code in scalable client‑side and server‑side architecture; participate in code reviews.
• Develop full‑stack apps using AI coding assistants to generate, refactor, and review code.
• Translate business requirements into production code; engineer prompts and prototype with AI.
• Facilitate technical discussions and oversee the team’s development work.
• Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Promote best engineering practices for rapid iterations and frequent releases.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers on roadmap and requirements.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups and Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely delivery program wide.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers.
