Job summary

The Lead Engineer at Citi leads the design, delivery, and evolution of strategic clearing platforms supporting global OTC clearing businesses across multiple CCPs. You will guide technical decisions, drive platform stability, and mentor engineers across global teams.

Senior leadership role requiring deep expertise in distributed systems, DevOps, and AI-enabled development capabilities, with a focus on regulatory readiness and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, preferably within capital markets or clearing technology.
• Experience leading complex engineering initiatives in large-scale, distributed environments.
• Proven track record delivering strategic technology projects from design through implementation.
• Experience leading technical teams or major project workstreams involving multiple stakeholders and delivery groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across OTC Clearing technology estate ensuring scalable, resilient solutions.
• Lead design and implementation of complex technology solutions for new products and onboarding of CCPs.
• Drive engineering decisions across architecture, data models, and application design.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering standards across teams.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to align with firmwide standards.
