Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for cybersecurity activities across classified information systems, ensuring risk management and inspection readiness.
• Serve as senior cybersecurity authority for inspections, assessments, audits, and continuous monitoring with timely closure of findings and POA&Ms.
• Oversee system authorization activities under RMF, applying JSIG and DAAG guidance for quality artifacts and audit-ready documentation.
• Lead cybersecurity Change Control Boards (CCBs) and evaluate security impact of proposed changes.
• Communicate cybersecurity risks to senior leadership and Authorizing Officials, translating issues into mission and cost impact.
• Integrate cybersecurity requirements with program execution by partnering with Program Managers and stakeholders.
• Directly manage cybersecurity personnel, including performance evaluations and development planning.
• Develop team capability through mentoring, certifications, and training compliance.
• Balance workloads and allocate resources to meet inspection timelines.
• Prepare and deliver cybersecurity status briefings on authorization posture and risks.
