You will oversee RMF implementations, guide JSIG/DAAG usage, and direct security programs across assigned programs.

The role requires active DoD Top Secret clearance on day one, IAM Level III, and strong experience in RMF/JSIG/DAAG environments. Travel up to 20% domestically may be required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required on day one.
• Experience performing ISSM responsibilities for classified or controlled information systems.
• Advanced knowledge of RMF and DoD system authorization processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for cybersecurity activities across classified information systems, ensuring risk management, compliance, and inspection readiness.
• Serve as senior cybersecurity authority for inspections, assessments, audits, and continuous monitoring, directing preparation, response, and POA&Ms closure.
• Oversee system authorization activities under RMF, applying JSIG and DAAG guidance to ensure quality artifacts and audit-ready documentation.
• Lead cybersecurity Change Control Boards (CCBs) and evaluate proposed changes for security impact and risk posture.
• Communicate cybersecurity risk and authorization status to leadership, translating technical issues into mission and cost impacts.
• Partner with program managers to align security with mission objectives.
• Direct cybersecurity personnel, including performance evaluations and development planning.
• Mentor team members, plan training, and ensure compliance with required certifications.
• Balance workloads and allocate resources to meet inspection timelines.
• Prepare and deliver cybersecurity status briefings on authorization posture and risk trends.
